Sheppard Mandolins!
Welcome to Sheppard Mandolins!
I have been building hand made F-5 and A-5 mandolins, guitars and
other stringed instruments since the spring of 2001.  I build every
instrument by hand with care.  I tap tune the parts of all my
instruments to assure a quality sounding finished instrument.
I will gladly custom build a mandolin to fit your needs or set you up
with a finished instrument I have on hand.

Look for Kelsi Harrigill of "Flatt Lonesome"
Playing and Endorsing  this
Sheppard F-5 #33!
It features an Adirondack "Red" Spruce top and Curly Maple
back, neck and sides.  It has a 12" Radiused Ebony fret board,
Ebony peg head overlay with custom Mother of Pearl inlay.  The
finish is a Conversion Varnish and has a beautiful gloss finish.
This mandolin is VERY  well "balanced" and has tremendous
deep tone, bell like highs and volume quality.
Nashville, TN  –The band Flatt Lonesome
made its debut appearance at the annual Red,
White & Bluegrass Festival in Morganton, NC
this week and band member Kelsi Roberston
Harrigill made a lasting connection with
Darrell Sheppard, maker of The Sheppard
Mandolin. Sheppard was so impressed with
Kelsi and Flatt Lonesome, that he offered an
endorsement relationship on the spot and
presented Kelsi with a new instrument.

“I am so honored to endorse Mr. Sheppard’s
mandolins. He builds a beautiful instrument
with such great care, and the sound is
tremendous,” Kelsi says.
